HATS
- The Ripple Effect
Another important aspect of the public education work is the ripple effect - the program's
ability to spread beyond its immediate audience through adoption and replication of the
methodology by others. With the support of funders such as The Ontario Trillium
Foundation, The Kensington Health Centre Foundation, the City of Toronto and others,
St. Christopher House developed and tested the Action Theatre tool for its senior
communities. With continued support, the program's formula for success can be further
expanded.
Measures of this program's success includes the high participation rates from volunteers,
the demand for performances, and numerous positive testimonials from participants who
comment on how participation in the program has enriched their lives.
This Web site is one result of the HATS program success. This Web presence extends the
program's ripple effect by widening the distribution of the Action Theatre methodology
using Web technologies.
